What is a Doula? A Doula is a woman trained in the art of labor support. While the Doula is not a member of the medical community, she assists the woman in labor by offering continuous emotional support, suggesting positional changes to enhance the well being of both mother and baby, and providing comfort measures and non-medical pain relief options during labor.
