Postpartum Care You’ve had a beautiful birth, supported by an Equinox doula. Now what? New parents need just as much support as expectant families. Breastfeeding issues, sleep deprivation and other concerns can make those first few weeks quite a challenge! A postpartum doula supports you so you can be the best parents to your new baby. Daylight Work Provided by Elisabeth Fleming-Prot, Certified Breastfeeding Educator -Personalized breastfeeding assistance -Emotional support and new parent education -Maternal recovery support -Light housework and meal preparation -Errands -Other specialized help, based on individual needs Nightlight Work Provided by Jane Drichta -Continuous 8 hour overnight baby care: you do nothing except nurse and sleep -Newborn sleep assessment and assistance -SIDS prevention information and implementation -Night time mother care, including breastfeeding assistance and maternal recovery procedures. Cost: please inquire. Hourly charges vary from $25 to $35 per hour based on the number of hours/nights you require. Night care is provided in 8 hour intervals, usually from 10pm to 6am. Day care is flexible, based on parental needs, with a two hour minimum per visit. Many parents enjoy a combination of day and night assistance, resulting in confident, well-rested families.
