Agur Biarritz!

Updated: Sep 10

According to the internet “agur” means both hello and goodbye in Basque. We discovered Biarritz for the first time all together, and we loved it! So goodbye for now, but we hope to visit again soon!

We had our last meal out in Biarritz near the Sainte Eugénie church right by the ocean. We found a casual eatery where we sat on the terrasse.

Basque mojito made with Izarra instead of rhum

Poke bowl (both girls had that)

Lamb chops

Mussels marinière

Ice cream!

Fondant au chocolat

Gâteau Basque

The church

Today we are on the train heading to Paris. We’ll spend the night in a hotel in the airport, and then back to Iceland and then Chicago.

We had a rather hectic cab ride from the train station to the airport hotel. We are happy to be alive, and the itinerary did take us by the Eiffel Tower, the Invalides, and the Arc de Triomphe.
