The Last Long Drive…Until We Drive Home in August
This was the wallpaper in our swank hotel in Sioux City. You have to believe me when I say the plad was perfect with the tree limb towel racks and birch tree shower curtain. That hotel was pretty awesome.
We tried to see the riverfront park on the way out of town, but it was under construction.
And then we drove, and drove, and drove, until we got to Illinois, and our much less swank but practical hotel near Aurora.
There wasn’t much to see. Lots of silos and fields, and, OK, a few cows.
We’re almost done with our third audiobook.
It’s weird to think we’ve driven over 2,000 miles, and we won’t be driving back until over a month from now.
